Why we walk
Washington State is home to thousands of immigrant workers who contribute every day to our food system, healthcare industry, construction trades, and local economy. Despite their contributions, many families continue to face detention, deportation, family separation, and financial hardship.
The We Are Here Walk was created to raise critical funds and community support for immigrant workers and families impacted by immigration enforcement.
Funds raised will help provide:
* Emergency financial assistance
* Community resources and referrals
* Support for families facing economic hardship
* Assistance for workers and families navigating crisis situations
More than a fundraiser, the walk is a public demonstration of solidarity, resilience, and hope.
